Montegrotto terme, Italy
I century A.D.
At the archaeological area of Viale Stazione, you can visit the remains of a monumental complex of the Roman era, a place dedicated to body care and entertainment including a small theatre, a spa and a nymph. The site was discovered between 1781 and 1788. The excavations carried out by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of the Veneto in 1953, between 1965 and 1970 and again between 1990 and 1994 led to the recovery of the Roman theater and the lilies. Between 1990 and 1994, the site has undergone a massive redevelopment project that has allowed today's public accessibility.
