TCT testings in Italy

LiveViewStudio visited Italian sites and in collaboration with partners defined Augmented Reality presentations for 5 locations marked with infoboards: Aquileia, San Mauro, Torcello, Basilica Apostolorum and Altinum. Also partners had the opportunity to check demo geolocation guide available through junaio AR browser and see the Roman and Byzantine sites layered over the Eurosportello's conference office.

Within the project, information on archeological locations belonging to Roman and Byzantine cultural heritage will be available through Junaio, leading augmented reality browser. Using Junaio AR browser and TECHCOOLTOUR channel the user may see information on all locations promoted through the project, virtually layered over the camera liveview. By clicking on POI, additional information as well as direction and map of location are also available.


Italian participation at local workshops

Unioncamere del Veneto as Lead partner of the Tech-tour project presented the main project objectives and expected results during the workshop organised by the Veneto Region at Villa Contarini on November 16th 2012 within the project ADRISTORICAL LANDS (IPA ADRIATIC PROGRAMME) and within the Workshops ‘Innovation and tourism’ promoted by Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia within the project ‘Tlab - Laboratory of tourism potentials’ (ITALIA-SLOVENIA CROSSBORDER COOPERATION PROGRAMME).

During the meeting in Rijeka, LiveViewStudio presented visual identity of the project and corresponding crossmedia platform. The aim was to create a solution that would clearely communicate the subject of the project, Roman and Byzantine cultural heritage, while at the same time offer an innovative and joyfull experience to users.

Tech-tour presented at Crossroads of Europe – Pavia 2012

"Crossroads of Europe" is an annual event highlighting places and routes in Europe associated with a coming together of different cultures. The aim is to promote cooperation and exchange, and to raise awareness of the potential for a new kind of tourism.

Kick-off meeting in Venice

Project start up! The Tech-Tour project starts in May 2012. All the Project partners met in Venice for the project kick-off meeting. Thanks to a very successful mix of competences, the Project aims to be a promoter of the added value of cultural itineraries for tourism thanks also to the augmented reality application!
